Mediation is an informal and confidential way for people to resolve disputes with the help of a neutral mediator who is trained to help people discuss their differences. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong or issue a decision. Instead, the mediator helps the parties work out their own solutions to problems. One of the greatest benefits of mediation is that it allows people to resolve the issue in a friendly way and in ways that meet their own unique needs.
Other benefits to Mediation include:
- Timely resolution
- Minimal cost
- Confidentiality
- Creative solutions
- Ability to deal with emotions
- Improved communication
Mediation simply stands for “mediated negotiation.” In mediation, each party meets with a neutral third-party expert known as a mediator. The mediator(s) facilitate dialogue with each side in the hopes of reaching a mutually satisfactory resolution to their conflict. At Pinnacle Leadership Solutions each party in mediation will have the opportunity to be heard. We assist the parties in putting their settlement agreement in writing which is signed by both parties and given to management for their follow-up. Mediation sessions generally take up to 4 hours.
